Disney reveals Pete’s Dragon first trailer

This film is the interpretation of the 1977 Disney classic, Pete’s Dragon, a movie that combines live action and CGI to tell the story of a orphaned kid named Pete and his best friend, Elliott, a dragon.

The film is starring Dallas Howard (The Help) as Grace, a forest guard who discovers the existence of Elliot; 10 years old Oakes Fegley (This Is Where I Leave You) as Pete; Wes Bentley (The Hunger Games) as Jack, the owner of a local barn; from New Zealand Karl Urban (Star Trek Into Darkness) as the brother of Jack, Gavin; Oona Laurence is Natalie, a young girl friend of Pete and the Oscar winner Robert Redford (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, All the President’s Men) as the father of Grace.

Pete’s Dragon is directed by David Lowery (Ain’t Them Bodies Saints) and produced by Jim Whitaker, with executive producer Barrie Osborne. The screenplay is by Lowery and Toby Halbrooks. WETA Digital, the visual effects company founded by filmmaker Peter Jackson located in New Zealand, in charge of using the latest technology in digital effects to bring life to Elliot the dragon.

Pete’s Dragon hit theaters August 12th 2016.
