Samsung has just announced at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2016 the new iteration of their insignea smartphone, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Galaxy Edge. Find out all its improvements and specifications below!
Samsung basically took the time to evaluate what users complained on the S6 / S6 Edge / S6 Edge +. All updates were well tagged.
Without sacrificing the sleek design that characterized the S6, the Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge comes with IP68 protection against water, supports up to 30 minutes in a 1.5 meters of immersion. The screen is 5.1” and 5.5” for the S7 and S7 respectively with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels (approximately 534 ppi), both count with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection against impact and scratches.
What everyone was waiting for: the S7 comes with microSD slot for memory expansion.
About the camera, it incorporates a Dual Pixel 12MP with sub pixel technology used in professional cameras which significantly increase the speed of autofocus feature. With a greater light sensor and a high capacity megapixel camera, the S7 can capture better pictures in dark places.
Additionally, you can adapt a camera lens using a special case for the S7 / S7 Edge (surely there will be a variety of lenses to be used after launch).
Samsung ensures that the S7 / S7 Edge has a CPU 30% faster and GPU 64% faster than its predecessor. This, along with its 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of storage converts the S7 in a great platform to play video games.
Samsung ensures that the battery of 3000mAh and 3600mAh respectively for S7 and S7 Edge will give the smartphone the autonomy to allow the user to watchj a full season of Game of Thrones…
Samsung also announce the Gear 360 camera, specially designed to create 360º videos that can be previewed in the S7 / S7 Edge and fully enjoyed with the virtual reality adapter Gear VR.
