Will Smith won’t attend the Oscars 2016 because the lack of diversity in the nominees #OscarsSoWhite
Will Smith announced last Thursday in an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, that he will not attend the Oscars 2016 in protest because the lack of diversity in the nominations of the award.

“I think that I have to protect and fight for the ideals that make our country and make our Hollywood community great.”, said the actor.
Smith explains that he joins his wife Jada Pinkett Smith in this Hollywood boycott because no black actor was nominated for an Oscar this year.

Jada posted a video message on his official Facebook account saying that she won’t attend or even see the ceremony of the Oscars this year. This statement took Will Smith by surprise as he was traveling at the time, however, he fully supported the decision of his wife and said: “I heard her words and I was knocked over. I was happy to be married to that woman.”.
