A first look at the new Windows 8 user interface

Microsoft released a video to show its new OS for touch screen devices. Fast, fluid and dynamic, are some aspects that describes Windows 8. Although the new Windows interface has been designed and is fully optimized for touch navigation, it works equally well with a mouse and keyboard. Microsoft wants to show that with this OS you can use any type of device.

Windows 8 interface is very intuitive. You can resize an app to the side of the screen to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. It also shows great fluidity in switching between running apps.

The video below introduces a few of the basic elements of the new user interface.


There is no release date yet, but Microsoft will be unveiling more updates about Windows 8 in the months ahead.
