Fidel Castro died at age 90
This Friday, November 25, the leader of the cuban revolution, Fidel Castro, died at the age of 90. Raúl Castro, his brother and president of Cuba, reported that the death happened at 10:29 PM (local time) and that his remains would be cremated by the express will of his brother.
Fidel Castro left the power in July 2006 due to health complications. His last public appearance was on August 13, 2016 when he turned 90. He left power in July 2006, due to health problems.
“Dear people of Cuba, I deeply regret to inform our people, the friends of our America and the world that today, November 25, 2016, at 10:29 p.m. died the commander in chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz”, said Raul Castro in a speech, according to CNN.
“In the early hours of Saturday 26, the Organizing Committee of Funerals will provide our people with detailed information on the organization of the posthumous tribute to the founder of the Cuban Revolution. To victory, always!”, added the president of Cuba.
