Eddie Murphy will host the Oscar 2012

The actor and comedian, Eddie Murphy, will host the 84th edition of the Oscars. The ceremony will be present on Sunday, February 26th, 2012 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood and will be televised in more than two hundred countries.

Although he never won an Oscar but a Razzie Award as the Worst Actor of the Decade, Eddie Murphy had his time as acceptable comedian before and is expected that this Oscar presentation push up that side of his career.

The information was given by Deadline and now it is officially confirmed by the Academy.
