Nintendo 3DS system update enables eShop, Internet Browser and more
From this Monday June 6th, Nintendo launches a new system update for the Nintendo 3DS, that will enable an eShop (games/apps store), the web browser, and the option to transfer games you’ve downloaded on DSi and DSi XL.
If you have a Nintendo 3DS then you won’t want to miss this system update. There is also a couple of free games on the eShop: Pokéde 3D, and 3D Classics Excitebike.
To perform the update only complete the following steps:
1. Select System Settings from the HOME menu.
2. Select Other Settings.
3. Scroll the page all the way to the right, and select System Update.
The Nintendo eShop is the digital store for Nintendo 3DS, your one-stop shop for a range of amazing content-downloadable right to your Nintendo 3DS system. Discover great software such as original 3D games, all-time classic titles re-mastered in 3D, legendary portable “virtual console” games, and more than 350 Nintendo DSiWare™ games. You can also view video game trailers, screenshots, and info for downloadable and retail games.
Discover an exciting new way to explore the Internet using the Nintendo 3DS Internet Browser. With it, you can browse right from your Nintendo 3DS system-anywhere there is wireless Internet access. You can pause your game at any point to search a website for game hints, catch up with email or news, and even view or upload 3D images on sites specifically designed to show 3D images.
If you’ve downloaded Nintendo DSiWare games and applications on your Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL system, you can now transfer most of those games to your Nintendo 3DS system after performing the latest system update. Over 350 games in the Nintendo DSiWare library can be played on your Nintendo 3DS system with ease.
However, the following games may not be transferred to the Nintendo 3DS:
- Asphalt IV
- Earthworm Jim
- Flipnote Studio
- Let’s Golf
- Nintendo DSi Browser
- Oregon Trail
- Real Soccer 2009
- Real Soccer 2010
- SUDOKU MASTER
