Exploit on PlayStation Network web-based password reset option
An exploit confirmed by Nyleveia reveals a vulnerability in the web-based system os password rest for PlayStation Network accounts, knowing your email and date of birth (compromised data involved in the attack on PSN) hackers could change the password of your account.
The people of Nyleveia apparently confirmed by the method by their own without revealing the hack details, obviously because they don’t want it to be exploited. After being informed of the vulnerability, Sony has begun to take action, putting under maintenance the PSN web login and password reset system on their websites and forums until the breach gets repaired.
This maintenance will not affect the current functioning of the recently re-established PlayStation Network.
