It seems that mirror evolution just arrive. Multiple prototypes of smart mirrors have been developed to date. This time, Rafael Dymek, share on his YouTube channel his smart mirror prototype called “Apple Mirror”, because it is based on iOS 10 from Apple.
This Apple Mirror design includes the time and date in the upper right hand corner and weather in the top left. All apps can be moved around and placed anywhere on the mirror. After 45 seconds of inactivity the mirror goes to sleep (appearing as any ordinary mirror), and it resumes active again just by tapping anywhere in the mirror.
Some useful things you can do with this mirror: watch Netflix, read the news, request an Uber, control smart thermostat / light bulbs, control Sonos speaker system and more.
Anyway this does not end here, the evolution of the mirror just begins, as you can see in this video below, there are other prototypes of smart mirrors being developed even working under custom operating systems, which gives the developers the ability to create new user interfaces adapted to what could be the real use of a smart mirror at home.
Would you buy a smart mirror for your bathroom?
