Amy Winehouse was found dead in her apartment

The famous singer Amy Winehouse was found dead in her apartment in London, UK Press Association reported. The investigation continues  into the circumstances of death.

Amy Winehouse was a controversial soul and jazz singer. Her album Back to Black in 2006 won 5 Grammys.

Amy, with only 27 years old, had a history of struggle with alcohol and drugs. She had recently left a British rehabilitation program to prepare for her European tour.

But last month, Amy interrupted her concert tour in Belgrade, Serbia, after she almost fell on stage during several songs.

Her last performance was last week at the iTunes Festival in Camden, England. Winehouse briefly joined on stage Dionne Bromfield for the song “Mama Said”.
