RIM and Microsoft alliance: Bing search service integrated on BlackBerry devices #BBWC

Steve Ballmer has made an appearance at the BlackBerry World Conference announcing an alliance between RIM and Microsoft to integrate Bing search engine to the BlackBerry products.

Bing will be the default search engine and map provider on BlackBerry devices, the integration will be performed at OS level and not as an application.

This means we probably will see some advances on voice and location search applications in the coming BlackBerry devices.

Great strategic moves by Microsoft to penetrate with its technology in the smartphone market, already has a partnership with Nokia and now has another with RIM.
